Song of the Evangelist

The world is superficial But Yahweh dwells down deep In each of His vessels A treasure trove He keeps. Underneath the chaos The disorder and the lies Is something of value, Something we must prize. “Let me out, I’m still inside Awaken me to life Deep within here I abide Let me see the light!” Though these earthen vessels Might look like such a mess With a little patience Treasure can manifest. This treasure is a part Of identity And we must dig down deep To find the missing piece. And when the piece is found To One it can be joined And when He sees His awakened son Yahweh will rejoice.

Return to Me the Missing Pieces

In one act of rebellion Creation did divide Shattered into pieces And scattered far and wide. Ever since that day, Ever since that time, On each and every heart Has been one single cry: “Return to me, Oh Yahweh, That in You I can stand Let me be Your child And redeem Your land Make me whole forever Make me new again Return to me the pieces That were scattered in the wind.” And Yahweh, He did hear The cry of each man’s heart He understood their passion Not to be apart He sent to us the Word To redeem and restore To return the pieces And join them all once more. “I return to You, Creation That in Me you can stand You shall be My children And redeem My land I make you whole forever I’ve made you new again I return to You the pieces That were scattered in the wind.” But this was not surprising For though ‘twas man’s desire The heart of man is not From whence began the fire It began in Ya...

Promise

Wherever you go I shall find you And wherever you are, there I'll be And I shall always remind you Of your identity. I have not left you to perish You shall not wither or die You are my son whom I cherish My witness to testify. I place you in this earthen vessel That which you claim and restore And you come again to the rest And claim your unvarnished reward. Together we walk in creation As one, united, hand in hand Redeeming each tribe, tongue, and nation Uniting each beast, herb, and land. And now it's back to the beginning The place where it also shall end You are my promised redemption That which before I shall send.

The Story of a Promise

Once there was a great King who ruled a mighty Kingdom. He reigned from His throne, which was above all powers and principalities. This Kingdom abided in unity, and everyone and everything was at harmony with one another. The people of the Kingdom were fiercely loyal to their King, and they loved Him as He loved them: completely. Then, one dreadful day, a single act of rebellion split the Kingdom in two. The One realm became two, and in the first realm, where the King resided, the loyal subjects wept for the loss of the second realm. The King, too, was dismayed. He was not sad for Himself, for He knew that He would be fine without the loyalty of His once-loving subjects, but He was sad for the people who had been lost into the second realm. He knew that they would never live without Him. The loyal subjects in the first realm saw the sadness of their King, and they wondered what they might do for Him. How could they reclaim the second realm? They knew their King could retake the rea...

Fire

People think what’s valued Is only to be stored They scrape it all together And put it in a hoard. It never will be used It will be there forever Preserved in the same condition As that in which it entered. But Yahweh doesn’t do this With that which He loves most Instead He sacrifices it To reap a hundredfold. Into the fire He places That which He holds dear It burns off every stronghold And casts down every fear The fire’s very painful And only for the brave But the fire doesn’t damage The fire is the safe. The fire makes us whole The fire purifies And only out of fire Does the phoenix rise. For safety is wholeness, Yahweh’s desire And to be whole I Must embrace the fire. Though the fire may be painful I am very brave So I embrace the fire because The fire makes me safe.

Come and paint Your pictures On the canvas of my heart Come and write Your poems On my pages Come and play Your music Through the instrument of my life A sound that shall resound throughout the ages. Come and whisper truth Into my very being Linking us in lines where you have placed us Come unite creation in One: Identity Everything is whole since You have saved us.

Flowing Poem

He is in me, creating new worlds. The flow, the passion, the perfect joining of power and order, of flow and control. He is in me, creating new things and redeeming the old. He is in me, bringing up life from ashes of mourning Providing a place where that which He always desired Might bloom, flourish, and shine. He is in me, bringing up life out of death. He is in me, taking the fear and the anger away, the suffering and sadness. And in that place He gives instead faith, joy, Trust and forgiveness. He is in me, making all things new As He resides in me, I reside in Truth And those in whom He resides Have all things, for all things are One, Christ who redeems. He is taking creation and making it again Recreating the world, saving it for Him He is making it one, when pieces were scattered When, with one man's choice, creation was shattered. But Yahweh is faithful, capable, and true He sent Holy Spirit to make everything new He binds us together stronger tha...
